Marcella Mameli-Badi

 

Born in Sardinia, Italy, in the town of Assemini also known as “Citta’ di Antica Tradizione Ceramica” the city of Ancient Ceramic Tradition.

Lives and works in London.

Marcella’s work is firmly rooted upon the Sardinian pottery tradition and the local craftsmen who used the ancient technique of throwing, although her work is formed differently, the influence is present.

Through her years of working with ceramics, she has used this as a way of expressing her feelings on certain themes that have grown close to her, such as the lack of peace and justice in Palestine and conflicts around the world.
