Interfaith Panel Discussion with Caravan Arts and AWMA
Wednesday, 20th December 2017 | 18:00 - 19:30
CARAVAN is a peacebuilding arts initiative founded by Reverend Paul-Gordon Chandler with the aim to encourage the people of the East and the West to take a journey together through the arts, hence the "nomadic" theme.
Panel discussion with Janet Rady, Caravan's Guest Curator for "I AM" exhibition (2017-2018) and British Iranian artist Soheila Sokhanvari will focus on how female engagement in art contributes to enhance understanding, respect and sharing between those of different cultures and faiths.
London-based design collective AWMA will present ‘Hubb حب’; the public art installation they showcased at the Brixton Design Trail, an event themed 'Love is Power' as part of the London Design Festival this year. Their itinerant project is a metaphor for bringing a community together in solitude & congregation, and in reflecting & sharing.
