In this painting, which takes the form of contemporary expressionism, there is a dialogue between myself and the survivors of violent events. The painting expresses how, despite the destruction and violence, Syrians were still inspired to protest vocally and powerfully. The logic of force and murder prevail in various parts of this painting. Also, the sense of resistance and endurance is etched into the facial expression of the represented character.
