Thursday, 8th December 2022 | 19:00 - 21:00

The event is a part of a series of listening events featuring different episodes of the podcast Kerning Cultures. The evening will consist of a "screening" of the episode, followed by a Q&A and discussion session with the producers.

Details on this episode: We’ll be listening to ‘Syria’s Stolen Memories’. During the Syrian war, a group of archeologists risk their lives to record the damage being done to their country’s cultural heritage, just as it was being taken away from them. This episode follows the trail of trafficked artefacts as they’re taken out of Syria and trafficked to Europe, and raises questions of how best to preserve and protect Syria's vital cultural heritage.

If you want to listen to the episode before the session, search ‘Syria’s Stolen Memories’ wherever you get your podcasts.
