Join us for an evening of exploring legacies of Palestinian resistance and connecting with Palestinian Arts & Culture.

As the first public-facing event of The Palestine Youth Movement Britain (PYM), we invite you to join us for an evening honouring Ghassan Kanafani's legacy through music and storytelling. Throughout the evening, you will hear more about PYM Britain, the role of the Arts & Culture committee within the movement, and more about its latest project – The Ghassan Kanafani Anthology – which is an extension of a PYM project by the same name in occupied Turtle Island / North America.

PYM is a transnational, independent, grassroots movement of young Palestinians and Arabs in exile. PYM's vision is to mobilise Palestinian and Arab youth, strengthen role and assume responsibility and accountability to the national struggle. In order to revitalise participation in the Palestinian liberation struggle, PYM builds upon historical and lived experiences that allow us to understand various current realities.

The Arts & Culture Committee is one of three committees in PYM Britain. PYM work to foster Palestinian art and culture as a primary site of political engagement and resistance. This entails combatting the pervasive depoliticised understanding of art and culture, emphasising instead how they are central to Palestinian life, political consciousness, and modes of resistance.
