GALLERY TALK

CoeXisT by COMBO

Friday, 3rd November 2017, 17:30 - 19:00

A special guest will conclude the series of talks from the Pop Art exhibiton. Moroccan-Lebanese street artist, COMBO, will join in to tell us how the news Media inspire and affect his work. He will be notably presenting the campaign-project “CoeXist” in which he called for religious harmony in Paris after Charlie Hebdo attacks in 2015.

COMBO or COMBO Culture Kidnapping is an engaged (street) artist based in Paris.

His works focuses around the news, turning their informative goal and images known to the public (comics, historical or pop figures, classic painting) on which he combines a provocative quote. He also enjoys playing with the rules of advertising to denounce the attacks on freedom, consumerism, and extremism of all stripes.

COMBO offers a subversive yet never judgmental reading, while he advocates the living-together philosophy.
