Fabric Arts | WORKSHOP 4
Using a range of fabric techniques including appliqué, fabric collage, embroidery, cross-stitch and Tatreez, we invite you to create your own squares for the quilt. No previous experience is needed. As they are completed, your squares will be assembled to form new quilt panels and your contributions will add to this growing testament to the lives of Gaza’s children.
NOTE: In return for being able to fund our vibrant exhibitions and events, we must charge a ticket price to help offset some of the gallery running and overhead expenses. With a large percentage of our public and private sponsorship eliminated, your gift enables us to continue presenting idea-stimulating art and culture events. Thank you immensely for helping independent not-for-profit art spaces like ours.

Workshop delivered by Lucy Njoki, Lucy is a textile and embroidery artist, currently living in Camden, London, with her three children. Lucy works with vintage,
preloved, natural and innovative textiles and specialises in the techniques of embroidery, fabric printing, collage, appliqué and patchwork. Lucy’s work is inspired by the wonders of nature and driven by the need to dream, to tell stories, to let go and to put back the pieces when we are broken, creating something new, beautiful and joyful. You will mostly find her slow stitching life into little fabric books.
